Soup is one of my favorite things to eat for a meal. It’s hearty, filling, and typically inexpensive. With cooler weather moving in, I thought I’d share our favorite family soups! Hope you enjoy!
I love the family recipe that my sister wrote in my cookbook years ago, but I couldn’t take the time to write it out for this post. I found this Chili recipe from The Bakerita, and thought it looked great!
I made this just a few nights ago. Creamy & delicious and semi-healthy. Okay, only the broccoli & carrots are healthy. I’m certainly not against half & half, with as much as I put it in my coffee, so I didn’t feel guilty adding the 2 cups! But all that cream & butter makes food YUM!
Gina at Skinnytaste has never a bad recipe! This is a simple, hearty crowd-pleaser. Great for a weeknight or even when you have guests over. Absolutely one of our favorites!
This is an Olive Garden copycat recipe from Cooking Classy, another of my favorite blogs to get recipes. I have added zucchini, used whatever beans or pasta I have on hand, and it always turns out amazing. Sometimes, I have to add extra water to make it more soup-like, but the flavor is still wonderful. My family eats everything in their bowls!
I never would have thought my family would like a cabbage soup. However, like I said, Gina’s recipes have never been bad! The first time I made this soup, the entire pot was eaten in 1 sitting! Between the 5 of us! It’s very healthy, hearty, and makes everyone happy!
Ali from Gimme Some Oven has amazing recipes! This is the only recipe I haven’t tried yet, but I have full confidence that it is delicious. Isn’t it a gorgeous color??
Mix Chili & Mac ‘N Cheese together?? Yes, please!! Chungah is another food blogger with amazing recipes. My family loves this soup and it makes such an easy weeknight meal!
Why not add a Moscow Mule to your hearty dinner? The spiciness of this drink is so different but delicious. And who doesn’t want to drink from a fancy copper mug?
